1.   What is the Coffee County Career Academy (CCCA)?

The CCCA is a second high school choice for Coffee County students in grades 9-12.  CCCA is located at the Coffee Educational Center (old Coffee High School).

2.    Why do we need programs like the Coffee County Career Academy?

The traditional approach to education, while optimal for some students, does not work well for all learners. Some students need an alternate path to the same destination: Destination Graduation for College, Career, and Life.

3.    Who should attend CCCA?

Students who:

  • Desire the opportunity for acceleration and early graduation
  • Are behind in credits and need to quicken the pace in order to graduate on time.
  • Would like to work independently and move at own pace.
  • Possess the motivation necessary to work in a self-paced atmosphere.
  • Want to complete dual enrollment courses through Wiregrass Technical College.

4.     What amenities will CCCA provide?

5.      What is a blended instructional model?

The blended setting bridges online learning and the traditional classroom. Blended learning consists of programs that combine significant components of online and traditional instruction.

6.     Will breakfast and lunch be provided at CCCA?

8.      Will students be able to drive?

Yes, student parking will be available with a permit.

9.     Is there a cost?

No, there is no cost to the student.

10.    Can CCCA students still play sports or be in the band?

The CCCA does not include sports and band.

11.    What are graduation requirements?

Graduation requirements are the same as Coffee High School.

12.   Can I graduate early?

Once graduation requirements are met, students are allowed to graduate. The flexibility of the CCCA allows for students to meet graduation requirements in less than 4 years.

13.   Will my CCCA credits transfer back to High School if I decide to return at the end of the year?

Yes, credits will transfer to be aligned with the graduation requirements of your high school.
